A great friend of mine from the Slade School of Fine Art in London came to visit last week. Richard Burton is named after his great great great uncle (or something like that), the English explorer Sir Richard Burton. Richard can easily trace his family’s history back to the 12th century and he only recently began researching the details of his famous, knighted ancestor.
He arrived early in the week with his girlfriend Julianne, and they explored Chicago together, yet she had to leave Saturday morning. Richard stuck around a couple more days until finally returning to London.
