Graduation Day

Over the weekend, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It only took me nine years since graduating high school, but I finally did it. I know many of you were in doubt this would ever happen, but fear no more!;)
The day was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. Honorary Commencement speaker Alfredo Jaar gave an inspiring speech. Even Mayor Daley and his wife spoke a bit after receiving Honorary Degrees for their commitment to the Arts here in Chicago. After the ceremony, we enjoyed Champagne and strawberries at the MFA gallery exhibition. The family and I finished the evening at a fine Chicago restaurant, Japonais, where the seafood was delicious. Thank you to everyone for all the support through the years, I really appreciate it. Check out a few pics from the day below.

  1. Congrats on the diploma – sorry I couldn’t make it out there (physically anyway), I hope you understand. We’ll have to celebrate the next time we meet.
