I checked out that James Joyce book from the library this term, but am sad to say I never got a chance to read it. This is still on my TO DO list. My term in London is complete, and so I cataloged all my work. The following three images of ME were created by Richard Burton and Jane Moriarity, with Richard’s being the last two. Richard is a talented portrait painter from my studio, ironically we also share birthdays. I tried to acquire his oil painting, but he would not part with it, as he adores it too much. Fair enough, I know how difficult it is to sell or give away art. He claims it is the best painting he did all term, but I keep telling him, it is the subject matter which makes it most striking;) Click on any of these three images and you will find a link to most of my semester’s work. I say most because not all watercolors are included, nor are any of my sketches. But all oil paintings are represented, with one exception of a painting I started this morning that I intend on leaving in my apartment. But who knows, maybe I’ll love it so much, it will come home with me.
There is no particular order to the following slide show, only alphabetically by title. (Yes, I attempted to title some of this work, but they are definitely not chiseled in stone) Most of these paintings are complete, and some are huge, others rather small. Unfortunately, no dimensions are given, maybe I will attempt to fix that minor fault. The oil painting of Big Ben has already sold, and is currently in the possession of the Cernak Family in Dallas, Texas. Although, everything else is for sale, granted I get it all back to the United States unscathed. Shipping all this work has already seen a few setbacks.
